The Green Mile to School --Grades 9-12.
Students learn that greenhouse gas emissions are not all the same.
They will investigate the type and severity of emissions released by
different countries, states, industries, and cars. This assignment will
(1) challenge students to estimate the impact of each factor on greenhouse
gas emissions, (2) examine their own personal activities and (3) find
ways to help reduce the damage.
Think Globally, Act Locally --Grades
9-12.
Students locate primary source documents and learn to analyze them
for bias. Then make informed decisions involving science and society.
Small Steps Mean Smaller Footprints
--Grades 9-12.
Students will authoritatively discuss major global topics and engage
in critical thinking and reflection as they view, discuss, and respond
to films dealing with global change. Further, they will recognize that
biogeochemical cycles influence humanity from the microscopic to the
macroscopic.
